Thanks.  It really didn't take much time, just breaks & lunch.  But it definitely took more time, is less complete and possibly less accurate than if Kiva reported it in summary form.

Thanks, Richard.

Don't know what your cut-off is for "worrisome", but Ameen s.a.l. is at 13.31%

I have one loan with them on which the client made the first payment, and since then has made no payments for six consecutive months. Plus others that are less delinquent, but delinquent all the same.

For me, 10% or more is to much.

I agree. There's also the nature of the delinquency to consider. A client who is a few cents behind in payments doesn't cause me much concern. A client who hasn't paid for 6 months makes me wonder if there's a serious problem.

Ameen is one that bounces up and down 5 points on the 1st and 15th.  They will probably go back down to 8% or so on the 15th, but that is still too much.  The trend is always upwards too.  On May 1 they bounced from about 3% to 8% and now on Nov 1 they bounced from 8% to 13%.  It's not a hopeful pattern.

Average Delinquency Rate    is   7.29%, and that includes som very high Delinquency Rates.
I wonder what median Delinquency Rate    is ?

All Delinquency Rate  above 7.29% it seems is very often / always? caused by the MFI, and is probably a bad sign that the MFI isnt sending money owed back to kiva.
For me the Delinquency Rate has become the most important factor when giving new loand, and i will hesitate to loan if higher than 10%.

This is a list of Field Partners I noticed that were behind in repayment on November 1, 2010.

Richard, your table column labeled "Del" is listing who is indicated as being the cause of the delinquency on the loan? "FP" means the loan says "Field Partner behind in repayment" in the advanced view?

Hi guys, the Kiva Field Partners Behind in Repayment list I posted today falls under this category:

Field partner behind in repayment: The Field Partner has reported fully collecting funds from the Entrepreneur but hasn't sent them to Kiva.”

I checked a few Ameen repaying loans and none of them showed that comment.  That likely means Ameen itself is not behind in repayments to Kiva.

As far as any particular delinquency rate goes, one of my primary interests is distinguishing among Entrepreneurs, Field Partners and Kiva.  Kiva currently only posts the first two reasons.  Another key interest I have is the accuracy of posted delinquency rates, which in turn are dependent on the accuracy of the repayment schedules and corresponding principal repayments.  From there, I believe I will have a more solid basis for judging the meaning of whatever rate is reported.

The delinquency list I initially posted on this topic includes only the delinquency rates that increased from October 31 to November 1.  I posted the complete delinquency list for this period at Kivapedia.

Obviously, anyone can make their own judgments about what they consider to be important – or not – about these delinquency rates.  One of my objectives on this topic and at Kivapedia is to give folks access to at least a sampling of relatively accessible Field Partner repayment histories they might not otherwise have.

You can sort the Kivapedia List of Kiva Field Partner Delinquency Histories by the 11/1 column to check on the median delinquency rate for that date.
I’m seeing it as 1.95%. Wacko Laugh
