It looks like the last day for information in the Visual Stats was November 14. Has this been discontinued? I actually check it a lot!

Hi Dottie -- Sherri wrote me a few days ago that part of the back end which feeds the stats had stopped working. I have tried to find the data she needs to get it fixed, but have not been able to find what she is looking for yet. While there are many things I can do from an admin standpoint here, some of them (like fixing the chat and helping Sherri get KivaStats fixed) may require Joe to be involved. I will continue to try to get the stats fixed, I know there are people who check them regularly.

Hello, I created the stats graphs for Kiva friends. I noticed that the process that records the stats was erroring out a few days ago. I emailed Diane and she sent me the file off the KF hosting account and I diagnosed the problem. I sent her a fixed version just now, so all she needs to do is put that back up there and it should be find the next time it runs (middle of the night).
You will see a jump in the graph as the # of loans/members jumps once the process grabs all the stats it missed.

I replaced Sherri's modified file on the KF server and lo and behold, we have graphs again! As she mentioned, there's an unfortunate spike rather than the smooth lines we'd hope to see for the past week while things have been broken, but at least we're up-to-date now. Thanks, Sherri! --Diane. |

OK, does this imply that KivaFriend's stats and visual stats are working off two different feeds?  (The stats are still from a date back in August.) |

I'm not sure what you mean by back in August. I started recording the stats from Kiva in Dec 2007.
I am grabbing the stats from Kiva's official feed: Bottom of this page: http://build.kiva.org/docs/feeds

Yes, that's what he means, Sherri. Those stats are calculated separately from your graphs' stats, and probably need a similar updating, given that Kiva's data source changed.

It looks like the Visual Stats are stalled again. Any chance we can get this unstuck so we can see if the 2000+ loans are getting funded this month? :-)
