Ahoy, Kiva Friends!

We, the men of Kiva, wanted to share with you a little bit of mirth and merriment this holiday season... and what better way than providing an opportunity for you to gaze upon our stunning, mustachioed visages.

Why mustaches, you might ask?

You may have heard of a (somewhat less-cool-than-Kiva) charity called DonorsChoose, where donors give money towards specific projects at schools around the US.  Every November, they run a fundraiser called "Mustaches for Kids," whereby the most masculine of men grow mustaches in order to raise money.

That's right -- some people participate in charity runs, the men of Kiva grow mustaches and drink beer.  I can feel you trembling in our presence.

Attached you'll see a photo of the Kiva "growers."  While we are entertained by your proposals of marriage, life long dedication, and other less ... repeatable things, if you do care to make a difference, visit http://bit.ly/kivastache to help us on our way.  Thank you, and may you have a Mustache-filled holiday.

PS.  You may notice that your most frequent Kiva employee contact, my colleague in marketing JohnAtKiva, is not included.  While we pity his inability to grow a mustache, we understand that some men must make up the mustacheless-masses.

thanks for that, Buckley.

I think it would be excellent if you could attach some names to the faces, so that we may identify the guilty  :-)  - or are these the mustaches that dare not speak their name?

cheers

What an excellent request.  Starting in the upper left hand corner, and going clockwise, the men are:

Greg Allen (finance and the CA Highway Patrol), Sam Birney (engineering), Gerard Niemira (product) & Jeremy "Super Mario" Frazao (engineering), Eric Brandt (Kiva Fellows), Sid Khoshoo (Engineering), JD "Kiva" Bergeron (Social Performance), Gerard Niemira, Sam Mankiewicz (Engineering), Jon Kart (last year's Best Stach in SF winner, and engineering), and last but not least, with the piercing blue eyes, yours truly, the most handsome man at Kiva (marketing).

we have just finished our "Movember" here ...

And we have just finished Movember here in Australia too.  MLC FC Mo'vers & Shakers was the team from my area of NAB.

(No, I didn't participate, other than financially.  Perhaps next year - if you all agree to sponsor me! Laugh)

As a hirsute person myself, may I commend those who have given up the daily torture of shaving for a good cause!
