It would be really nice to have a demo section with few old funded businesses where one can demonstrate the entire lending process from a prospective lender's point of view.

20 something crowd may be very tech savvy.  When I talk about Kiva to my Grey haired and bald friends, they often have trouble understanding the process.  Often, I have to pick a 'live' business and demonstrate it to them (then of course I have to abandon the transaction at the Paypal funding stage).

Richard, the flow chart is good and understandable, however we old people often have to 'see', and 'feel' the process.

As an old fart myself, I can relate.  So I guess what you're suggesting is like a "simulation" section where you can actually go through the whole process but it doesn't count?

I can see simba's point....the flow chart gives you the basics of how the process works but I know for a fact that once my sister (who is older than I am  Tongue) would panic once she actually got onto Kiva's site.  Of course I could show her by making another loan myself but she is a slow learner and I would be broke before she really got the feel of it all.

I will be going through the process tomorrow remotely with my 85-year-old father who is going to cash in the gift certificate I gave him Smiley -- as someone who has done technical writing and training programs professionally, I will be watching his process with my observational hat on, and can try to write up a step-by-step afterwards, if anyone thinks that would be a good idea.   ?
