I work for the most laid back CPA in the world....he is a great boss.  How many CPA's would let his one and only employee travel during tax time?  Not every year, but I have gone on a few trips the end of March for a week or so when he really doesnt want me around but just wants to work with no interruptions.

The accounting charge could also be the initial fee to set up an accounting system or advice...the year is fall 2005-2006 for taxes.  Just another idea...

Hi Colette....I am sure you are correct....this charge is probably not just for the tax return but for either monthly or quarterly bookkeeping duties...and if that was their first year reporting, it probably included the fees for time spent to set Kiva up as a non profit...not an easy task I can assure you.  We will have to see how this figure compares to the next 990.
