Hi!
I have been struggling with eating meat for years, and have very recently decided that I want to become a vegan. For the most part I have repressed my aversion to eating meat/animal products so this is coming as a shock to most people who know me. I have been watching documentaries on the food industries here in America and it disgusted me so much that I knew it I wanted to make a change. I am reading books on veganism, including Becoming Vegan by Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina. There is a lot of information in this book, so much that I feel overwhelmed. I wonder, is anyone here vegetarian or vegan? If you could share with me how it was for you in the beginning and how it is now I would deeply appreciate it.  Smiley

Hi Oriana, I stopped eating meat in 1986.  My children are life-long vegetarians.  One tip I have is, "Don't worry about it."  Simply take one step at a time.  You'll pick up soon enough what's right for you.  Also keep in mind, it's not who you are, it's simply something you don't do.
