Some of you may have read the blog post we published last week about innovation at Kiva, which included a reference to a new Social Performance feature we have been working on. I’m excited to let you know that this feature is launching next Monday, 12/12!

The Social Performance feature is designed to help lenders understand how our Field Partners are going far beyond traditional microlending in an effort to more fully serve their communities. These efforts encompass a broad range of programs and social issues, and we’ve tried to group them together into categories to make it easier for you to find Field Partners that are working towards the social impacts you care about.

We’ll be publishing a blog post tomorrow that should give you more background on the Social Performance feature, and we will also be hosting a webinar at 10am PST on Wednesday, 12/14. I would definitely recommend joining the webinar or watching the recording of it later, as it will provide information on social performance within the microfinance industry as well as give background on how Kiva has researched our Field Partners’ efforts toward social performance.

You can join the webinar by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to http://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/6575/39243
Step 2: Click the "Attend" button below the webinar details.
Step 3: You'll be asked to register or log into your account. If you haven't attended a Kiva webinar before, you'll need to register for a BrightTalk account. This will allow you to listen to the upcoming webinar and any webinars we have held in the past.
Step 4: Once you have entered all of your information and read through the terms of use and privacy policy, click "Proceed" and you will be taken to the webinar page.

If you're curious about how the microfinance industry defines social performance, here are a few links to check out:

Social Performance Task Force: The industry-created task force
Microfinance Gateway (CGAP): Social Performance management and assessment tools
Microfinance Information Exchange: Social Performance indicators used by the MIX

We're thrilled to be spotlighting the work our Field Partners do to better serve their communities, and we hope you will join us for next week's webinar to learn more about the new Social Performance feature. Thanks as always for your support!

Great webinar so far!

Click on the badge that is important to you.  You will then see a list and an orange button on the right beside various MFI's.  Click on that orange button and you will end up back at the lend page with those loans showing.  You can then change the MFI to "all" on the left hand side of the Lend page to see all MFI's that have loans that relate to that badge.

Also found on "advanced options" on the lend page
