If anyone has good ideas to grow membership, let me know.  We have 2 members at the moment, but have not been successful in pulling more people.  I have included some info about our team below.

Location:  New Jersey
Category:  Local Area
Team URL:  http://www.kiva.org/team/help_yourself
We loan because:  Improving ones future should be in your own hands.
About us:  People that want to help others help themselves.
Team Since:   Aug 26, 2011

Thank you in advance for your responses!!

My first suggestion would be to change your 'location' from 'New Jersey' to 'worldwide' or something equally inclusive (some of us happen to live in New Jersey - but not everybody!)

Secondly, I would not use your own photo as the group's 'team photo' but pick something slightly less megalomaniacal?  (sorry, I just happen to be feeling madly honest and forthright this evening!)  Just My Two Cents Worth :-)

Thirdly, what is your team about beyond 'helping people' which is the focus of every other team on Kiva?  What sets yours apart?  What's the 'theme' or 'topic' that other people might want to get behind or feel 'connected' to (apologies in advance for all those darned 'quotes' in my sentences tonight).

Also considering joining the Kiva Team Captains Team where the discussion is almost entirely about growing your team.

"Our daughters can contribute just as much to society as our sons, and our common prosperity will be advanced by allowing all humanity - men and women - to reach their full potential. I do not believe that women must make the same choices as men in order to be equal, and I respect those women who choose to live their lives in traditional roles. But it should be their choice. That is why the United States will partner with any Muslim-majority country to support expanded literacy for girls, and to help young women pursue employment through micro-financing that helps people live their dreams." - President Barack Obama, June 4, 2009
