The latest newsletter states "If you haven't bought your Kiva Cards yet, time is running out! Order yours today."

Has anyone heard of a reason why Kiva Cards will soon no longer be available?

The email headline is "Season's Greetings", and the sub headline is, "As the holidays approach, there's no better time to take a look at the different religious and cultural events that Kiva borrowers celebrate year round."

Pretty sure that was a reference to time running out on the holiday season?

Yeah, I did think of that possibility - that they might have referred earlier in the newsletter to buying Kiva Cards as possible gifts for Christmas - but I checked before I posted my earlier message and they hadn't.  So I don't think that the deadline for buying Kiva Cards is actually related to Christmas.

Edit:  P.S.  And, as you say, the earlier part of the newsletter was talking about "cultural events that Kiva borrowers celebrate year round", so why would time be running out to buy Kiva Cards in time for Easter, etc?!?!?  Huh?

I think Kiva was trying to be culturally sensitive.  I know for Poverty2Prosperity Team, I allude to December holidays.  There ARE many December holidays that encompass various religions and cultures--Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, and Kwanzaa come to mind.  Becoming politically correct to the point of vagueness has its disadvantages--sometimes things are interpreted incorrectly.  I think this is what may have happened.

Enjoy whichever holidays you might be celebrating.
