Glad to see it's already putting it to good use I was up from 4-6am setting it up.

I'll look into the new window thing. It might be a no-go since it's kind of embedded into the forum page. However you can always force it to open in a new window (or browser tab) by holding down your CTRL or SHIFT button before clicking the link.

Have a bit of extra time today so I'm updating some things.  If you get an error or something, that's probably me fiddling. Just reload after a minute or so.

Spell check was requested and is now available.  It's next to the buttons when you post/preview. It's also available when you send personal messages.

Speaking of personal messages, if you have over 50 posts on the forum, you get unlimited personal messages. A lot of you have reached/are reaching that level, so this is just a heads up if you wonder why your storage capacity bar goes poof.

So much more fun without it...I propose a memorandum on the non-use of the spell-check. No one is perfect, so why do we want to seem perfect (by using a "spell check")...I am very disappointed (sp?) !

Does a post of 2500 or more words count as more than 1?

50 posts total Looks like you flew passed that 456 posts ago, Richard  I'd count 2500 words as 25 posts if I could.  That would be an interesting stat to look up; who has the longest post on here so far.

Spell check is, of course, optional.

New experimental feature. Tag clouds. The direct link is:

It's also up on the main menu above under "Tags".

Basically it remembers what keywords people use on Google, Yahoo, etc and puts them up into a tag cloud. The bigger the word is, the more it's been searched for. Anyway, it's just a neat little thing for those of you wondering what search words people are using to find us and which discussions they get linked to from their search results. Looks like Mark Agwonah (RIP) has been searched a lot lately.

You can now adjust how many threads you see in each board, as well as how many posts in each thread. This is handy if you're here a lot and only want to see the latest 10 or so threads instead of a whole page full. For the posts inside the threads, if you have a fast connection and can handle seeing all messages at once on one page, set it high. If you have a slow connection (or short attention span ), set it low and you'll get less posts per page/more page links to flip through which should load faster.

2. Click "Look and Layout Options"

3. Adjust the settings to your liking and hit save.
