Thanks guys. Glad the tabs are going over well. Hoping to also have some detailed daily stats up there soon (after we get some permission from Kiva). I started getting messages from people that end up here first and couldn't figure out where to go to make loans So the buttons up top will help send them in the right direction (as well as give us all quick access to the main features over there). About more tabs, there is a lot of room up there for more if you've got a high screen resolution. Unfortunately for people with 1024x768 resolutions, it looks pretty full. If you're on 800x600, then they're already squished together. So I'll probably need to figure out how to incorporate some sort of dynamic tab system that can expand/contract (based on screen resolution) to keep it looking good and functional for everyone.

Good point Joe, my tabs only take up just more than 2 inches....what about a tab for graphical representation of compiled statistics, such as line graphs for loan amount and lenders as its progressed from the beginning, once established that could easily be maintained and updated at the end of each month....maybe along with premal's graph that he used to show the low/mid/high estimates of kivas lender/loan amounts from 2006-2011...or a map depicting all the countries Kiva currently works in with the links to the MFI pages located on Kiva - quite a few people have been asking questions pertaining to MFIs lately, their problems, how they work, what they do, how they relate to Kiva... (or instead someone can place links to the MFIs on the Kivapedia section where the MFIs are located--I check the MFI info and stats quite a bit and its a slight aggravation to navigate to Kiva to do that)...I know that would all be a bit of work, but they are merely suggestions I thought might be helpful or worth considering in the future enchancements of the site.

My only solace is that I find a peaceful place where I might be resigned to my depriving loneliness.

I dont know if theyve been around or if Ive just been missing this feature, but I love the "recent posts" section on the KF home page...I used to rely on email notifications when a new message was posted to a thread I was watching or participating in, but now I find myself using the recent post list almost just as much, its great.

The "recent posts" option has been there as long as I've been a member, which would be at least six months. It's a very efficient way to use the forum. The downside is wading through a lot of stuff you might not choose to read, but the total effect can be rather interesting. (Also, you have to switch to the regular thread to see some of the photos, depending on how they were posted.) Dottie B

Hi Dottie, I was actually referring to the last 10 posts that are listed on the KF home page, towards the bottom. That may have been around to and Joe may have turned that feature on when he was working on the site the other day.

You mean on the start page: No, that hasn't been around for long, Steve.

Yes, that is new. I don't use it, because I just go right to "all recent posts." I'm often way more than 10 posts behind! (The problem is when I geet more than 10 pages behind!)

Yes its really best to be used from the time you have caught up, through the time you remain active on KF, until you sign off. In the meantime the other options for staying up to date are a bit more effective.

Yep, that's new Is 10 ok? I can increase it. It's just a brief recent activity indicator. The other options, which guests don't have access to unless they register (hint hint), are more effective in keeping track of all the new posts.
