I noticed Olga Copa's loan last night, looks as if Pro Mujer Bolivia has listed 3 loans now. Welcome to Kiva!

I see that there are a couple more in the queue, waiting to become active. Cool! BTW-- Independently, I just changed my phone's ringtone (MP3) to "Lamento Boliviano" by Los Enanitos Verdes... For those that are interested (and whose phones support MP3 ringtones), PM me your mobile number and I can send it to you by MMS.

Ben-- I also noted that Hispaniola is picking up. Nice... however, what happened to the Haitian side of it? I haven't seen any loans posted for Haiti in months...

Finally... con mucha (in)paciencia estamos esperando la llegada de... Perú! Wouldn't it be cool if they became active on exactly July 28, their Independence Day?

Hi, Ramon - Peru is now active.  Came in from working in the woods this afternoon, clicked on my computer (home page, Kiva), and there this was: http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=14221.  How could I resist?..... and Kay, too, I noticed.

Yes, this is really unfortunate, especially at the outset, I would say. Shocked

Lets chalk that one up to MFI newbie error Wink I wonder which one will get refunded; the two people that funded the first one, or the one person that funded the second one.

On a related note, I've seen more smaller loan requests (under the 400 range) get 100% funded by one person, sometimes two. As seen in the examples above. Is that a new trend?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the heads up on the doubling up.  We caught it and have been trying to refund it as soon as possible (there's a technical bug we're sorting out ASAP).

On Hispaniola, Esperanza only has one office in Haiti but we're sending them a camera for that office so that they can post more.  I'll actually be on vacation in the dR next week and visiting Esperanza (in Santo Domingo) so I'll post an update when I get back.

Thanks!

Those who fund thousands of loans in $25 steps will never know the very special thrill of being THE business partner of someone. On the other hand, I shall not know how it feels changing the destiny of so many people, and I can only admire the commitment of the many-loan funders.
