I sent an email with screenshot to Kiva about this problem on 7/21 (last Sat.) and received this response from Liz Harmon that night:
Dear Diane,
Thank you very much for catching this error!
I will forward your email onto Kiva's web engineers, so that they can look into this issue.

I received this response from her today:
Hi Diane,
I just wanted to let you know that Kiva's web engineers have solved this issue, and the fix will hit the website with our next release, which will occur in the next two weeks.

YAY! A fix for the big blank space!
(And ooooh! A new release! Wonder what cool new features it will have for us to mess around with!
