Some time ago, I decided to participate in a fledgling organization I somehow or another came across, called
youbridge.org The idea of it was that people like you and I might choose to donate the equivalent of 190 (
I think) English pounds to purchase a laptop for a student in one of several developing countries. Then, if things worked out like the organization’s founders contemplated they might, the donor and donee would then embark on a cross-the-world, cross-cultural Internet communication which had the potential for leading……. well, wherever your imaginations and perhaps fortuity might take you.
