Any place that you can drink to a new hairstyle sounds like a fun place!   Laugh

Done!

Meet Abigail Mwongeli of "Unique Saloon", the next loan in the Mark Agwonah Fund portfolio.  Be sure to notice those girls in the back of the shop, I think they're learning the tricks of the trade from Abigail!

I shall write up this loan for the History/Status thread soon.

Since there is now $100 in GCs in the Mark Agwonah Memorial fund, I would like to propose we fund Paul Ndulo Chalo's desire to rent a permanent premises for his second-hand clothing sales, so as to avoid the problems involved in hawking wares around the streets.  Any comments?

Well, Sunday night is not the best time to be hoping for comments, so I think I'll fund Paul's loan anyway.  Please keep your eyes open for good possibilities to suggest in Kenya, there will be $75 left in the lending fund after this commitment.  Thanks!

Hm.  Every time I try to pay, I get the message I've never seen before:  There has been an error please try again.  I guess we aren't meant to add this loan after all!

OK, third time's a charm.  I signed off and back in and was able to join the loan.  Please keep an eye out for Kenyan loans you'd like to suggest here!

Another Eb-F loan appeared this morning, and I'm thinking the Fund might want to hop on it.

Mwanajum Hassan Mohamed runs a food canteen specializing in smoked fish in Mombasa.  She wants to buy chairs and another table for the restaurant, cooking supplies, and the licenses necessary to continue operation.  She is borrowing $800 for 18 months (all the Eb-F loans seem to be for 18 months now, presumably to add a little more assurance to the likelihood the borrowers will be able to repay).  There is $75 left in the Fund for loaning, and this is an Eb-F loan, so I suggest we get on it.  Discussion?

Friends, since I am going to have to leave the house now for a long drive, I will make the decision to participate in Mwanajuma's loan.  I will hope no one has a problem with it.  This weekend I will be writing up the two recent loans for the Fund history & status thread and updating the spreadsheet also.

There is still $50 in the Fund for lending to Kenyan entrepreneurs.

In the future, would you prefer I wait and let others suggest a loan here?  Or should I go ahead and make the loan and just report it?  If there is no other suggestion, and if I find a Kenyan loan to suggest, I'll plan to post it here, wait about half an hour for comments (contrary to popular belief, I am neither at Kiva.org nor on the computer ALL the time, LOL!  Angel  ), and then just go for it if there is no negative discussion.

Would any other contributor to the Fund like to suggest the next loan?  We can still make 2 more (and in March one of our loans is slated to pay off, so we'll be able to re-lend!).  Thanks, everyone.
