Hi everyone, and Joe in particular!

I've been looking at this page a bit this morning: http://www.kivafriends.org/index.php?action=who.

I noticed that there are quite some guests, here. I was wondering whether you, Joe, could provide me (us) with some information on general traffic on this site...if you have the time...I know, we keep you busy... Roll Eyes

Thanks!

Richard,

I just checked the site out....I really had never seen it before....

I must seem like a "Rampensau" to you...a hard to translate German term....Robert will understand....it refers to a person, that pulls everything to him, that tries to get the attention of everyone, without any consideration of others...(Rampe is something like a stage...and sau is a pig)

 Embarrassed

Not at all, no Rumpelstiltskinishness seen here.   Smiley

I'm just "pulling your leg"  Cool  (I wonder how that translates!)  Huh? Cheesy

Oli, you seem more like a concerned, involved, busy "bloody lawyer" who has a lot going on, who checks in frequently and wants/needs to participate, but doesn't spend alot of your limited online time researching every question to see if/where it has been asked/answered previously.  Is there a word for that person?

I'm retired, and STILL don't have the time (or perhaps patience) to search through all the great information available here!  I, too, learned something new... very thorough statistics.

My question: Is there anything we can do to turn guests into registered Friends?  I'd love to see a wider variety of opinions and ideas expressesd on Kiva Friends; I learn so much from EACH contributor (like, who knew how to wear a wimple?).

Keep on asking, and safe travels,
Laurie

UNTRANSLATABLE!

our word: "veraeppeln", which basically means "appling someone" (from the apple)...don't ask me why...I guess it's older than Apple and the Mac... Tongue

literal translation of pulling the leg would be: "ich ziehe nur dein bein"....VERY STRANGE!

Maybe it means "tricking them into taking a bite from the forbidden" ...or... "pummeling them with fruit."   Grin
