almost every evening - happy hour!  starting about 8:30 central

it's BYOB!   Cheesy

How'd I miss this notice?!  I at times go in to visit a singular person I see logged in, but they are frequently newbies just passing through and playing, with no intention of chatting.  So I end up talking to myself, although someone usually gets a warm welcome!   Looks like I'll have to start paying attention to the time.  I'll bring a nice hot pot of tea next time!

Old topic, new thoughts..

are you afraid of chat?  never chatted before?   slow on the keys?

here's an idea for a new room in chat - room name:  "Slow Strokers" or "Take a breath between 'enter'"

How to add a room in chat:

Once you've entered the chat room by clicking the "CHAT" button up top here, you will be in the lounge area.  From this area it's simple to create a new room for chatting.  To do this, you simply click the "ADD" button at the top rights and enter a name for the new room.  Select "Public" and hit "Create".    This makes the new room available.  Now, you have to move into the new room.  To do this, you click the bar to the left of the "ADD" button, select the room you just created and that moves you into that room, or any of the available rooms.

Giving a room a particular room name might help get others into that room.  Do you PM with someone frequently?  Try a conversation in a chat room, private or public.

When you exit a chat room, it's best to locate the little 'x' above the listing of names, this will pop you out of chat quickly and your name won't remain showing in chat for a long time even if your not there.

Think of all the possible room names you can come up with!  One of them will be inviting to someone!

Hi!  I have a question ....how do you make an "aside" such as "Jane is thinking" without actually having your name in front?

Type "/me" in front of what you want to say (type really "me" and not your real name, this will be added automatically).

So in your example it should read /me is thinking

You can also type /help when in chat for a list of commands available to you.
