Okay, Kiva made it to #5 on the Change.org "Most Popular" list!   Cool Thumbs Up
That's about as good as it's going to get until they can come up with some publicity from somewhere.  Roll Eyes Wink

Very cool. I'm just glad we're on the main page after about a month. Laugh Not bad from about page 4 I think it was. With all the press Change.org is getting, it's good for us when people go there and see Kiva in the top 10 most popular non-profits list. Mobster

Thanks for all the stuff you've put up on there, Richard. Now, about that e-newsletter concept....  Wink

Their servers are very slow.  Mine showed up on the second round of populating the map.  Yours showed up when I zoomed in a notch.

I whipped up that banner last Friday night Smiley We've been trying to get this done for over a month now but there have been a few delays. So I'm glad it's finally up and running. They call it a "branded network" and many of the big non-profits on there are getting that special treatment.

By the way, the URL has also been shortened, from:

http://www.change.org/nonprofit_page/nonprofit_home/16338

to

http://www.change.org/kiva

 Thumbs Up

Once again, Kiva is the Featured Nonprofit of the week!  Thumbs Up Yes
http://www.change.org/nonprofits

From the newsletter (a little longer than on the website)...
Quote
Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, creating a way for individuals to connect with and make personal loans to small businesses in developing countries. Kiva partners with microfinance institutions across the globe, giving them access to Kiva's website to post their funding needs for loans to micro-entrepreneurs. Individuals across the globe fund these loans by sending payments via PayPal. Repaid loans are returned to individual lenders, which can be withdrawn or used to help someone else. Along with an increasing number of people working in international development, Kiva believes that empowering the poor to work their way towards economic independence is the most sustainable way in which to fight global poverty.
