Joe,  Thank You for this tool bar! It is great!

For your list of things to consider in future versions -
  • The ability to turn off/on the categories from the Kiva Friends section - just like you can choose which Predefined Components to show. I have no interest in several of them so they are just clutter for me.
  • An Extension version that I can plug into an existing tool bar - I have several I use all the time.

I asked this before but never heard from anyone...but Joe, is it possible to create a desktop version of this toolbar?  I would love to just secure it to the top of my desktop page permanently.

I'm not Joe, but I think I can point you in the right direction.

You need to contact a microfinance institution in Indonesia and ask it how to apply for a loan. There are three such institutions that work with Kiva. They are in the list at http://www.kiva.org/about/partners/

You can search for additional MFI's that serve Indonesia at http://www.mixmarket.org/en/demand/demand.quick.search.asp  They also make loans, but not through Kiva.

Good luck!

Hi Joe
I love my Kiva Toolbar and the links to absolutely everything Kiva from it...
So...
I wondered about this new https stuff - thought maybe if I downloaded the toolbar again it would magically change the links - no such luck...
Will this just happen, one night, while I sleep Smiley
thanx, jan

Just fyi, I downloaded the Kiva toolbar last night and installed under Firefox 3/MacOSX too see about other ways to read the site in an organized fashion. It was mostly a bust. Most drop down menus did not function properly and it crashed Firefox once. Maybe it just needs a rebuild/update from ourtoolbar.com, perhaps... Anyway...

Hi.

I would like to have a look at the Kiva toolbar, but I am having some trouble accessing the toolbar site. Is it still up and running? If yes, I'll try again tomorrow. Seems like a good idea to have all Kiva stuff in one place  Grin

Let me know how it goes. Last time I tried it, it had some issues that I think could be resolved with an updated toolbar.

Thanks,

Thanks for the welcome!

The download site really seems to have some issues at the moment. I am not able to download/install the toolbar. I will keep trying.

As soon as I manage to get it installed in Firefox, I will let you know how it works.

Cheers,

I just downed it with Firefox(2) - I got an error message, but it downloaded anyway. I installed it, but did not restart FF yet to see how it works. Hopefully it will work for you now.
