I LOVE the Kiva toolbar... I use it everyday...

however...

just lately the blogs links to 'Inside Kiva' and also to 'How I changed the world today' have been taking me to the comment box at blogger rather than to the actual post.  very strange  Huh?

I have downloaded the toolbar again and closed and opened Firefox - and it hasn't changed.

anyone with other suggestions?

thanx, jan

My weather forecast as part of the toolbar is not working since several days, just showing "N/A No data". Any idea how I can fix it?  Undecided

No, Mona, I can't help, but if you want my 37 degrees F, you can have it.

Thanks, but as this is even 1° less than we have in Berlin now, you can keep it.  Laugh

Hi Mona,

What city are you searching for??
My location is working for Lithia, Fl. I changed the location to Berlin, Germany & the message is Weather information is temporarily unavailable
But if I change the location to Bonn, Germany, it displays the current weather, 46* F/8* C.
It also shows the current weather info for Cologne, Hamburg, Munich & Stuttgart.
I suspect the problem is specific to Berlin & the immediate area.
Hope this helps.

Peace Geoff

Strange but true, seems to be a Berlin specific problem. I have chosen now Falkensee, a city close to Berlin.
Thanks for the help, Geoff!  Hat Wave

Cheers,
Mona

I just heard about Kiva and recently registered.
Don't know much about how to navigate the site yet, so am just trying to ask the correct person a question:

Can Kiva work to support an inter-faith, non-profit organization that is just getting started. It is a faith based organization that works to build community leaders. Eventually leaders work together, assess their community's needs through 1:1 conversations, create a vision, and improve their communities through action.

Am I way off for thinking Kiva can be a form of support to an organization such as this?Huh?

I rather fear so...

welcome to KivaFriends, though, and please stay around to learn more about Microfinance, discuss Kiva or just to have fun.

Kiva AFAIK does not support organisations with donations etc., but "just" provides them (or rather arranges for individual lenders to provide them) with interest-free lending capital to hand out in loans to individual or group borrowers. So unless the organisation you mentioned is indeed a MicroFinance Instituation (MFI) and looking for lending capital, you are most likely looking in the wrong place.

Should the organisation be an MFI, you could look up on Kiva's website the procedure to become a "Field Partner" (http://www.kiva.org/about/pic).

Should the organisation be trying to obtain a loan, it would have to contact a local Kiva Field Partner (list: http://www.kiva.org/about/partners/)

You can also contact Kiva Customer Service at contactus@kiva.org.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

This morning the Kiva toolbar appears to be there and shows me 11 unread messages on KivaFriends however...

when opening the drop down box (for Kiva Friends or for the Blogs)to choose a thread it gives me a message box... it works fine for the drop down box for Network and I can pull up Kiva just fine.

I have logged out of Firefox and logged back in.  I have rebooted my system.

Is there any help for me?
