Ahh then your version is newer than mine. Go figure. Do you have any other toolbars or browser toys installed? Also, if you have a firewall installed, check to see if there are any alerts in it from the browser or "conduit" (the toolbar engine). If there are, then it could be blocking the command to keep things marked as read/cleared.

Henry,

I have Windows Vista (Home Premium Edition), and I have had problems upgrading, if not installing, programs (e.g., Mozilla Thunderbird).  I haven't yet tried installing Joe's toolbar, because I don't want any more potential "problems" at the moment (not to mention any more Kiva "reminders")!

Nonetheless, you might try checking out the following two "support" pages, in case they are of any help.  (In fact, I would be curious to know if they are.)

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927386
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931361/

Good luck!

Kay

(Edit:  not trying to disparage your toolbar, Joe--I think it looks great! Smiley)

Thanks for the suggestion Jill - it worked!   Cheesy

I guess I should have tried downloading before asking, but I'm so used to PC stuff not working on a mac that I didn't think to try it!

What a handy toolbar - thanks for making it available, Joe!

Can you submit this to the official firefox addons website?

EDIT: Oh wait, it's part of a toolbar generator site. Nevermind.

Joe, I want to thank you for this toolbar. I absolutely LOVE it. It's made it so much easier for me to follow along with discussions and keep up with posts. You rock! I suspect you'll be seeing much more of me here on Kiva Friends and it is completely related to your excellent toolbar.

Hurrah

Have you ever tried Firefox? I've converted quite a few people to it. It is an amazing tool and I highly recommend at least giving it a chance.  Grin

You can download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Ill give anything a shot...Im very happy with MSN because of how organized and user friendly it is, at least for me, and I love the side bar that has access to just about everything you can want on the web, but only downside is you cant add toolbars and other options to it.
