Thanks for the title edit, and the link to the events calendar Smiley

The best way to stay on top of breaking Kiva news:

Use Joe's awesome (and I do mean AWESOME) Kiva Toolbar -- I'm an early adopter of that toolbar, and that's how I saw Matt Flannery's new blog entry ;-)

This will be a gi-normous Week in Kiva History :-)

Hey, Fredric,    It's really great having you "out here" with us now.  Thanks for letting us know about this incredible news.

I read Matt's blog posting and loved it.  Can't imagine how he could have expressed any better
his joy and awe and amazement that he and the woman and the organization he loves
have all this happening to them.

Just in case Matt, too, sometimes checks out our postings,
or if not Matt, that Ben or Fiona or Premal will... and might tell him this....

PLEASE KNOW THAT WE HERE, AT KIVA FRIENDS,
ARE FILLED WITH JOY AND PLEASURE AND PRIDE
     FOR YOU AND FOR KIVA.
IT IS AN IMMENSELY HAPPY AND HOPEFUL TIME FOR ALL OF US.
          and, just to note,
What a great thing it is that

SOMETIMES, GOOD THINGS (REALLY) DO HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE.
      LONG LIVE KIVA!

This is the time to let as many friends and family know what to watch and when.  Opportunities like this do not come often.  Great to be here and be all excited with you guys....It doesnt get any bigger than Oprah!!!  Shocked  Like Queen said, maybe when we mention Kiva to someone they will have already heard of it.  When that begins happening then its safe to say that Kiva has arrived.  When someone heres us talk of Kiva or sees us wearing a Kiva logo of some sort and instead of ask us what Kiva us, tell us that they are involved with Kiva too, then that is a day to remember.  Hopefully this week will eventually make that a somewhat normal occurrence.  Lets just pray they have an astronomical number of loans waiting and ready, with some extra help at headquarters.  This cannot be squandered.

A lady from Germany, Mrylia, left a post a few moments ago.  She runs a website and is hoping to find someone to put together an article relating to the upcoming shows regarding Kiva this week to post for her subscribers.  I thought Id repost it here below.  She included her email address for anyone who wants to contact her directly.  I also linked Kiva up with her so no need to write them.  If there are any takers who want to play reporter for a day or two, then get ahold of her.

"Hello everyone,

I run a popular celebrity charity news site (http://www.looktothestars.org), and we have a page for Kiva on our site. A Kiva friend contacted me about the upcoming television coverage, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out. I would love to post a story about Kiva and its celebrity support, but am located in Germany and therefore have no way to see the upcoming Today Show and Oprah coverage.

Would any of you be willing to put together an article about the shows? (It can be long or short, just as long as we have something to share with our readers!) I really love what Kiva does, so it would be great to help get the word out!

You can reach me via email at myrlia@looktothestars.org.

I know that what I am about to write does not directly have to do with Kiva on Oprah, but....

I was just on the CNN.com web page. They have a little advertisement for this Wednesday's Larry King show. The guest.... Bill Clinton. The tag line for the show reads:  "One-on-one with Bill Clinton! He says he knows how to change the world. Now he'll tell you how.. on "Larry King Live." Wednesday, 9 p.m. ET"

(Maybe he will tell us how to change the world...."one loan at a time.")

After reading what Matt wrote in his blog, I wonder if Mr. Clinton will mention Kiva in his discussions with Larry?

You can email your questions to the show in advance if anybody wants to send in a question about Kiva as a way to get the president to talk about it.

Bill Clinton is also scheduled to be a guest on David Letterman's show on Tuesday night (9/4)!  I saw a promo about this last night (subject matter wasn't mentioned), and the website for the show mentions him as a guest on Tuesday night:  http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/pants/

Clinton kicks off his book tour tomorrow - Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World.  Maybe Matt and Jessica are two of his "real people" he likes to use to help make the connection to "abstract concepts."

For anyone who missed Oprah today - like I did - check your TV listings for a possible late-night repeat. Here in DC, it repeats at 1 am.
