Just click on the "Reply" box under any post you're interested in....
Of course for some of us who are upside-downers, the "Reply" box is on top of the Posts. (The Kiva Friends website lets you set your preferences to the way you like in a number of ways.) hello everyone! i'm dinah (carrie in real life) and i'm from winnipeg, manitoba. i'm a mom and a wife to 2 wonderful boys.  i work full time as well. i'm new to kiva, but enjoying myself so far. it's very interesting that's for sure. i took some of my christmas money and invested it. i've got 2 loans so far, but i'm worried one of them isn't going to fund. i'm such a worrier! |

Welcome, Dinah (Carrie) to Kiva Friends. Watch out because this can become addicting (in a good way.)
The loans are on the Kiva Website for 30 days. The borrower's page shows the number of days left to fully fund. If yours gets down to the last five or so days, be sure to bring that up on the thread here called "Late loaning lenders". These folks watch all the loans nearing expiration and plot how they can get fully funded.

Greetings from France  Five years ago, almost to the day now, I moved to France from the UK to run a B&B. I have had a great time, through some trying financial times. Met some lovely people and had some great support. What better way to repay this kindness than to help other independent entrepreneurs than to set up a Team for 'friends' of my B&B to spread the word. I have already managed to recruit one team member, and my other team member is the person who introduced me to Kiva - another holiday cottage owner in France. Hi. Well, I'm new (obviously, I guess), both to Kiva and the forum.
I had a question of a sort and wasn't sure where to ask it, so perhaps I'll try here.
I'm in Second Life and have a business in it (which makes no money) and am vaguely considering setting up something charitable through it (whether it's a direct donation of lindens or just a "for every sale, I'll do x" sort of thing). Anyway, before I even try and sort out the details, I wanted to check on something.
It's absolutely mandatory to me that I remain anonymous in SL. I don't have to in RL, as it were, but I don't give out personal information in SL except to a select few, if even that. So if I understand this correctly (which is doubtful), I could set up a team for the store, which would be anonymous in itself, but if a person clicked the members tab, it would show me. Of course, I could set my own profile to anonymous, but I'm not sure I want to be beholden to that, forever and ever, just to make this particular activity work. Is there another way to do it? Could I set up a second account just for the team?
(Even if I end up just using my own money, which is likely, I'd still like it to be accountable, as it were, so a person could go to the site and see that I'm doing what I said I'd do.)
