Could I set up a second account just for the team?

Hi, and welcome to KF!  I think many people have multiple accounts set up for various reasons.  Perhaps the display name of the account could be the same name as your SL team name.  Here is an example lender that is a also a team and a very useful Kiva application!  http://www.kiva.org/lender/kivabank

Good luck with your SL team!

hey MacPhile - there is someone on here who used to have a KIVA land on SL that had a way to donate or make money or something - I'm sure she will be seeing your post soon - so hold on for some good advice  Smiley

I forget how to find the place or if it even still exist, but search for a land called KIVA or KIVA.org  you might find it, and my helicopter might still be stuck there Smiley

Hi,
A few people sent me this thread so I guess they want me to reply.  Sorry I'm not around kivafriends much anymore, life is so busy!
There are some organized Kiva things going on in second life.  We have an office at the non-profit commons.  We also have a kiva lending group  http://www.kiva.org/lender/secondlife1494 That was set up by a wonderful volunteer, and is now a group that we manage the loans, but can't take the money out. You can join the group in SL.

I have a free Kiva display stand available - https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=329653

If you have any other questions please email me directly Julia @ kivafriends.org

And I'm Julles Boucher in SL.

Hi everyone
My name is Helena and I am happy to have found Kiva! Born in Switzerland, I have lived in Australia for almost 30 years,  in a beautiful spot in NSW Australia. Making a small difference is my aim - so here I am. It would be nice to find friends to share and communicate with.
Have a great week !

 Hat Wave  Hello Helena....

lots of us here from all around the world, I hear Australia is wonderful.

KF is a fun place to learn more about Kiva and at the same time have a little teeny input into making Kiva better in the future.

Hope you enjoy your stay Wink

Hello Everyone!

I'm not new to Kiva.org, but I'm new to Kivafriends, so I thought I'd say Hello and introduce myself. I'm Kismet on Kiva (http://www.kiva.org/lender/kismet) and I've been lending through Kiva since December of 2008. I'd never heard of Kiva before Christmas of 2008 when a friend of mine gave a Kiva gift certificate as a Christmas gift. I loved the idea right off! I made my first loan a few days later and I've never looked back. Kiva is a perfect fit for me.

I'm an elementary school teacher in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Currently I'm teaching half time grade three and half time technology support. For some time now, I've been thinking about getting my school involved in Kiva, but I keep coming up against logistical roadblocks - particularly in the realm of how to add money to an account in a way that will be acceptable to the "Powers That Be". If there's anyone out there who runs a school Kiva account, I'd love to hear from you and find out how you manage things.

Cheers,
Kismet
