Someone told me that I did something today which brightened their day which is a heckuva surprise for me - I usually do the opposite   Huh?

Anyway, that being said, I thought we might try a new thread where we can go when we all need a lift.  A thread with things to cheer us up - a nice song, a funny video, words of inspiration or whatever.

So I am hoping people will contribute to this thread for the benefit of all of us when weve had a Ruff day (as Ben my dog would say).

And to start, Id like to present again (but in this new thread) the thing that caused this idea to come to fruition.  Enjoy

Great idea, Mark.

Let me supply some more videos:

Volare (not-so-serious Karaoke version)

Singing in the Rain

The Ugly Duckling

When the Saints Go Marching In in a legendary, funny version featuring Louis Armstrong and Danny Kaye (from: Five Pennies)

What a Wonderful World featuring Terry Fator and his impersonating turtle

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

City Hall by Vienna Teng

Better Version of You - probably the only song to wake up a child...

For those with computer troubles:
The Gates by DaVinci's Notebook (I refrain from posting their greatest hit because it's definitely not appropriate though hilarious)

The ultimate template of a lovesong:
Title of the Song by DaVinci's Notebook

Not really "happy go lucky" but it always moves and inspires me:
Nkosi Sikeleli Afrika

Hope there's something in there for everybody...
take care,
Wolfgang.

Therapy sounds like a great idea. Here's some uplifting, light-hearted stuff.

I never thought I'd be posting Orangutans in a Moonfish thread again:

Whatever religion or spiritual direction one takes, this can inspire most anyong.  Just let it load and grab a tissue.

I find not direction in the readings of those with whom my eccentricities are similar, but rather validation.

My only solace is that I find a peaceful place where I might be resigned to my depriving loneliness.

Thank you Steve - that was very nice.  I never saw it before and will certainly share it with my Jane in the morning.

Two things which move me are What a Wonderful World (thanks Wolfgang for reminding me of that one) and the Wizard of Oz.  I guess everyone of us has a sting deep inside our hearts which resonates love and happiness when something comes along to set it in motion.

4 Heart-Warming Songs by John Lennon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4_ghOG9JQM

The other 3 have been moved to the Music thread so as not to overload it here in case John Lennon is not on your Idol List - Imagine  Cheesy
