So they don't get lost as we move through the year, I'm starting this thread as a place to post links to high-quality large photos that might be worth considering for the 2009 calendar.

My first nominee is Kunduz Latipova, whom I would have nominated for the 2008 calendar if I'd been thinking straight.  She makes and sells canned vegetables in Tajikistan and the original of her photo is huge and (to me) pretty compelling.

Add your nominees to this thread for safe-keeping.

Martin Trust Group from Ghana

The original is fine, 300 dpi, taken on a swish Nikon D40.   And I think I can count 7 Kiva Friends among the lenders.

(I counted 10 KivaFriends among the lenders, if we include one inactive and one formerly-more-active member. Smiley )

I nominate Dora Osunde (journal photo)

(EDIT: In my moderator hat, I'm reducing the size of this and adding a link to the excellent huge original. --Diane.)

The original photo is here

2592 X 1944 pixels

That's a great picture, but we need a link to the loan itself, to be able to include a brief description in the calendar! Wink

Eli, I think I've now figured out which group is yours, and no, I didn't count y'all first time around, so that makes

*ELEVEN*

KivaFriend entities on that loan.  Smiley

Godlisen Oziambo from Tanzania

His shop sells vegetables, juice, lotions, candy, bread, fish, notebooks, rice, and other general items...  ...The first two loans were used to purchase tomatoes in Iringa, a town about 9 hours away by bus. Godlisen hopes to use this new loan to purchase Irish potatoes...

Photo's orig is a massive 3 mb.
