I admit I'm curious about the Kiva/KF demographic. I suspect that there is a high percentage of pet ownership and not that this poll will be the definitive measure, still, I'm posting it.

Sadly, I currently do not have any pets in my home.  I have been an enthusiastic keeper of pet rats, though, in the recent past and would hope to bring a few more of these completely wonderful small creatures into my life again sometime in the future.  I know there are some other rat fanciers here in KivaFriends land, maybe we can win over some of the dubious.  Wink

As I am going through a divorce I am for the moment living with my family. I love them..but it is not so fun. Plus there are situations that make this a trial of sorts. But we do have a very wonderful cat! Her name is Gabby and she is a super cute cat.
My dad was washing my mom's hair in the sink because he was about to cut it, and Gabby was watching and she cried the whole time! I guess her little heart just went out to my mom! Grin

Diane, I was googling something lately when I saw a site about rats giggling. It turns out if you tickle them they laugh and that they really love it. Do you tickle your rats?

My best friend of almost 16 years, Siley, died last May and I haven't been able to bring myself to attach to another cat.  However, I am currently fostering a cat (Dancer) for a local cat rescue group.

The tabby in the pictures below is my girl, Siley, and the black and white one is Dancer.

My condolences on your loss, charity, it must be very difficult.  Take your time about getting another friend.  How good of you to foster during this time, I have worked for rescue shelters, and all my cats are rescues.  I know how much they appreciate your taking in one of their cats who needs special care.

I recently lost one of my favorites ever, Camus.  I miss him terribly.  That leaves two cats in my household now, Dart (d'Artagnan) and the WB (Wonderbutt).

Here are some photos of my boys...

Dart (tuxie) bugging Wonderbutt (brown tabby)

Here Dart is assisting me with paperwork organization

Here they are sleeping on the couch with their friend Camus who recently passed away.

Or perhaps not.  I can't seem to get the images to appear....

I lost my last cat about a year ago and i do miss her terribly.  My daughters got her for me when I was going through my divorce to keep me company!!  I didnt have the heart to tell them that that was not quite I had in mind for company but still and all Spice was always there for me when I needed a little extra love.  I have not as yet replaced her and I dont know that I will in the forseeable future.
